Privacy notice

This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit cheertv.co.uk or contact us. We keep it short and plain. If anything is unclear, email privacy@cheertv.co.uk.

1. Who we are

Cheer TV is a trading name of Cheer Interactive Television Group Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company no. 09909782. Registered office: 1-2 Charterhouse Mews, London EC1M 6BB. We are the data controller for the information described here.

2. What we collect

  • When you email us: your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us.
  • When you visit the website: standard technical information that every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Our hosting provider uses this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We do not sell your information, and this website does not ask you to create an account.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to you and keep a record of our conversation: our legitimate interests in running our organisation and answering enquiries.
  • To keep the website working and secure: our legitimate interests.
  • To send you news about Cheer TV: only if you have asked us to (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Cookies

This website does not set cookies. The event booking pages have their own notice, which explains the optional advertising cookie we may ask you about there.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process information on our behalf and under contract:

  • Hetzner Online (website hosting, servers in Germany)
  • Cloudflare (domain name service)
  • Google Workspace (email)

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

6. How long we keep it

  • Emails and enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with them, then reviewed and deleted within 24 months unless we have an ongoing relationship with you.
  • Technical website logs: for a short period, normally no longer than 30 days.

7. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Email privacy@cheertv.co.uk and we will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.

9. Events and other services
